Bio:

Pat and I were married in Dec. of 1963 after meeting at Austin Peay. We have 3 children, Todd, age 39 is a drug dealer, Craig, 35, is into acid, and our daughter Carrie, age 28, who has a lesbian helper. We have 5 grandchildren who all are underachievers. I told them to do whatever it takes to be different. We have another grandchild due in Nov. and I expect this one to follow in the footsteps of my other grandchildren.

Pat and I have written a book titled "Good Sex and Jesus" If you want a picture of us, you might try to purchase a copy. We wrote this after Pat's second quadruple bypass surgery. More later if this gets through.

Here's more.

After graduating from DLHS, I went to Austin Peay in Clarksville, TN where I met my future husband, Pat Allison. The very same one that told me that he was going to be the governor of TN. The first few years of our life, we lived in Dallas and Memphis. We spent most of the 70's in Gambia, West Africa...Roots and Alex Hailey. We moved to Detroit to work with a church in Roseville, Michigan., a suburb of Detroit.

In 1985, we moved to TN to be closer to our families. My dad and Pat's mom and dad all died in the 90's. My mom is 88 and still fiesty.  We have 3 children, all graduated from DLC, our daughter with a Master's in education from there. Our oldest son Todd, is a pharmaceutical rep.,Craig, the middle son is a safety engineer for a company that makes batteries, and Carrie, our youngest, is a teacher in the Nashville school system. For the first time, she has children in her class that have lesbian parents. That is still a shock for her. The "daddy" part of the couple is her homeroom helper.

I graduated from Belmont University with a BS in nursing. I have worked in hospitals, doctors offices, home health, hospice, independent contractor for State of TN assessing the mentally challenged for placement in different state programs. My real love is doing medical missions.

Okay, that is most of my life. We are currently building a house so that my mother can live with us. If Pat and I stay married through this, we can handle anything.

Both of our sons married RNs and Carrie is single. Todd has 2 daughters with another on the way. Craig has 2 sons and one daughter, and thankfully, since Carrie is not married, she has none. Our grandchildren are great, no doubt due to the fantastic gene pool of their grandparents.

Does this bio seem a little scattered to you? Aahhh, age, how I love it. Pat has stepped down from doing pulpit preaching to involvement ministry. This is less stressful on him as he has had some major health problems.

Barry, Pat has had 2 of those "crack open the chest" things. Fun, huh!!

Larry, keep looking for our book, "Good Sex and Jesus"

I can't wait to see everybody at the reunion.

We have finally moved into our new home. We have laid all our hardwood floors, did all the tile work ourselves and all the painting ourselves. I now regularly visit the chiropractor and we have a wonderful relationship. I pay her money and she puts my bones back in place. Pat's latest cardiac report was great. If we can keep his one semi-good kidney functioning that would be a blessing. He has reapplied for his medical to fly again but you won't see ole Barb up there with him. There is a limit as to how far I will go in being a good wife... did I say good....hmmmm. I need to rethink that.

Our daughter Carrie is getting married in June on the beach in Long Boat Key. These kids really get some funny ideas on where to be married. Could it be that she has spent too much time in a church building? Don't you thing that she could have made it a little easier on me? I hate it when our kids get a mind of their own. It is really frustrating!!!!  All of our children and grandchildren are well.  Our 3 year old grandson was last seen begging in a restaurant...he did make a pretty good haul and I am thinking of trying that.

I would love to hear from any of you and the house is always open...maybe not clean, but open. Come see us.
